SUMMER 13' FASHION EDIT

Hello Lovelies,

I have compiled a selection of trends that have been seen on all the 2013 fashion runway this season. And can I please just say, I absolutely bloody love everything that's on trend right now!

#1 Structured Bags
Ditch those hobo bags and opt for ladylike bags like this Micheal Kors  one. Structured bags are timeless pieces which never go out of fashion and they add instant class and and elegance to any sort of outfit so, its defo worth investing in one!

#2 Jelly Sandals
These little cuties are so popular this season. Natural sandals go with anything and these studded ones add a hint of edge to them plain boring feet. Put on some neon nail polish just for that extra playful summer feel and you're good to go!

#3 Monochrome
This is also HUGE on the runways at the moment. According to Glamour magazine, Marc Jacobs and designers alike are putting a strong emphasis on black & white as they are wearable all year round. Not to mention budget- friendly too! Black and white is a classic combo that never goes out of fashion and easy to switch from an office to an evening look. I recommend investing in this striped Mango trouser as stripes are also big on trend this summer.

#4 Aqua
Aqua has been named the colour of this season and no surprise in that as it is such a light, summery colour! Also worth mentioning that washed out denim shirts like this River Island  one has been seen in all the high-end stores recently. They can be paired up with cropped skinny trousers or even with coloured pair of shorts. This style is so versatile and worth trying out in these hot summer months!

#5 Oriental/Floral Prints
Floral is a predictable spring/summer trend but this year we are seeing a lot of Japanese inspired designs on the ramp. It's a fresh look which I am absolutely loving on these Pull & Bear harem pants/trousers!

#6 Satchel
Satchels add a great preppy look to an outfit and they are super easy to carry on a casual shopping day or for a trip to the grocery store. This Accessorize bag is ideal for a cool summer vibe!

#7 Ankle-Strap Sandals
Now, I think this is the IT shoe shape for summer. This trend is found both in heels and flats so anybody can rock this style. They're super easy to wear and prevent any blisters that pumps can sometime cause. New Look has a nice collection of ankle strap sandals like the picture above, so do check 'em out!

#8 Crop Tops
Looks like the 90s are in! Crop tops are a sophisticated way of showing just a tad bit of skin. Many celebs have been seen sporting this daring look i.e. Selena Gomez, Rihanna, Ashley Benson and they all look fabulous. Pair this trend with a high-waisted trouser or a midi pencil skirt and you're all set to exude an aura of confidence in the most stylish and trendy manner! Check out Forever 21 crop tops for some more style inspiration.

#9 Crochet
I am a massive fan of lace as it adds an instant polish and femininity to an outfit. Doesn't this neon Topshop crochet dress scream summer to you? It's a must have for your wardrobe this season ladies!

#10 Metallic
Metallics have been seen on pretty much everything this summer; from clutches to leggings and even shoes, It is defo a big trend of 2013! Zara has pulled out some nice metallic pieces recently so definitely worth hitting the stores soon!

#11 Jewellery
Statement necklaces have been in for a while now but this summer I saw an unusual trend- gold plated torque necklaces. At first, I was put off by them, thinking they looked a bit chavvy but now I find them super-stylish! Just wear it over a basic tee or a plain black dress for an instant impact. Mid-finger rings have also been quite popular this season; they just look really cute and decorative! Check out Forever 21 range for some more trendy jewelry.

So, these are my top picks for this season. These trends are easy to pull off, even for those on a low budget. I hope this has helped to spark some inspiration for your wardrobes. Let me know what your favourite trends are for this summer or if I have missed any out.
