URBAN DECAY'S NAKED EYE PALETTE

Left to Right: Virgin | Sin | Naked | Sidecar | Buck | Half Baked | Smog | Dark Horse | Toasted |Hustle | Creep | Gunmetal

Ahh yes. Everyone has heard about Urban Decay's cult classic Naked eye shadow palette. It's almost a sin to be a beauty blogger without having one of these in your make up stash (note exaggeration). Thankfully, I'm one of the lucky people who does have it in their collection. This review only sings praises for this little gem because Naked honestly deserves all the hype it has received over the years since it first launched. It is the perfect dream tool that everyone wishes to have in one single palette.

From subtle mattes and satin champagne neutrals, to shimmery bold bronze and gunmetal hues, all 12 of these shades cater for any sort of make up look. Whether you're opting for a natural day-time look or deep sultry smokey eyes, this shadow kit will not let you down. Enclosed in a luxurious velvet casing (mine is pretty battered now though), these array of highly pigmented shades provide long lasting wear and are super easy to blend.  The texture varies from the soft basics such as Virgin and Buck to more glittery and gritty shades such as Creep and Gunmetal. On a side note- How cool are these names?

I usually reach towards Sin or Virgin for the inner corners of my eyes to brighten them up and then use Naked as a single base for a subtle wash of colour. Alternatively, I love using the sparkly shades in the evenings such as Toasted or Hustle all over my eye lid and the bottom lash line for an extra smokey oomph. Honestly, you can play around with so many different looks with these eye-shadows and I believe the neutrals in this palette would be perfect for beginners experimenting with eye makeup. Granted, the price is set quite high at £37 but I still think it's great value for money as the quality is top notch and also given the fact that this single palette provides a good balance  of option; ranging between basic neutral shades to more shimmery bold ones.

Go get Naked! The product I mean...

  9. I agree the product IS worth the hype (and the only reason to think it's not is because so many similar palettes have come up that may be more inexpensive) - I love it as well!
